Do you think native New Mexico plants are hard to find, hard to grow, or too messy? Think again! Join us for a walk-and-talk about great looking native perennials, annuals, and other plants you can grow in your garden with minimal angst.
SFBG Director of Horticulture Linda Churchill will be your guide and will discuss how to plant and water these standout natives and what to expect in your garden, while we observe many of the established native plants in our botanical garden. No PowerPoint! Just friendly, honest talk with a takeaway plant list, good advice, and plenty of time for Q&A.
A short planting demonstration will follow the talk if you're interested. This is a great program for people new to gardening or new to Santa Fe.
What to bring: hat, water, sunscreen, good walking shoes, camera or phone if you want to take pictures.
