The New Mexico apple is just different! Its growing conditions- water, soil and dry air and its incredible genetic history make this apple so very different in the way it looks, tastes and grows. Join this class as we delve into what makes ‘our’ apple so different and in many cases, better than other apples. You will get a chance to try the New Mexico apple as well as learn about the history of this wonderful tree. Leave with expertise on how to grow these trees and incorporate them into your landscape.
About your Instructor: Jeff DePew is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist and holds a certification in Restoration Ecology. He is a Professor Emeritus in Biological and Ecological Studies from Webster University.
