Botanical Art: Vivid Vegetables

Summer veggies aren’t just good to eat—they’re also great to draw! In this workshop, you will learn how to draw detailed pictures of your favorite summer vegetables. What’s your fancy—something from your garden, or the market? Helen’s personalized instruction will guide you in a botanical art technique combining colored pencil and watercolor. A supplies list will be sent to registrants. Beginner and Intermediate levels welcomed.

About your Instructor: Helen Byers is an award-winning botanical artist and educator who has taught at Ghost Ranch (Abiquiu) since 2005 and Tower Hill Botanic Garden (near Boston) since 2012. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Filoli (CA), the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Horticultural Society of New York, and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University (MA), among others.
