Botanical Drawing: Techniques Sampler

This class will take place over the course of three weeks, including three sessions. The dates for the classes are June 6th, 13th, and 20th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Your registration covers all three dates of the course.

Join botanical artist Helen Byers in this exciting new workshop to learn botanical illustration techniques in ink, graphite, colored pencil, and watercolor. Working indoors from life, we’ll explore the uses of each medium to create beautifully detailed representations of plant subjects. Helen’s demos and individualized instruction will inspire you! All levels welcome.

About your Instructor: Helen Byers is an award-winning botanical artist and educator who has taught at Ghost Ranch (Abiquiu) since 2005 and Tower Hill Botanic Garden (near Boston) since 2012. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Filoli (CA), the American Society of Botanical Artists (NY), and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University (MA), among others.
