Join us as Mike Kintgen's presentation will cover modern day alpine plant conservation in both the garden and the wild. Mike will touch on the North American Botanic Garden Strategy for alpine Plant Conservation (The alpine strategy) and how its helping to guide alpine plant work across the US and Canada. Mike will take you deep into remote alpine areas to showcase the beauty of our native alpine flora and touch on the basics of how we go about conserving alpine plants through seed banking. The discussion will wrap up with a look at the Rock Alpine garden at Denver Botanic gardens where some of these collections are on display.
