In this presentation, Ross Shrigley introduces the Plant Select® philosophy: a rigorous program dedicated to finding, testing, and distributing the most durable and water-wise plants for the Intermountain West.
Ross will discuss plants that move beyond basic "desert landscaping" towards a sophisticated Western Garden Style. This approach celebrates New Mexico's rugged beauty by pairing sculptural hardscapes, like the garden's newly set boulders, with resilient plants that demand less water and offer more beauty.
About the Presenter:
A biology graduate of Colorado State University (1994), Ross Shrigley’s horticultural career spans over three decades of hands-on experience; from owning a landscape business to key roles at Denver Botanic Gardens and Fort Collins Wholesale Nursery.
Today, Ross serves as the Executive Director of Plant Select®, a nonprofit collaboration between CSU and Denver Botanic Gardens. He is dedicated to promoting high-performance, water-wise plants that thrive in the unique conditions of the Intermountain West.
