Cost: 10$ for members; 15 $ for non-members

Join the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and hike leader Ken Collins on this  moderate 4-mile (round trip) hike from Battleship Rock to McCauley Warm Springs and back. Battleship Rock, our trailhead, is a distinctive formation on the section along Highway 4 after it has turned south towards the village of Jemez Springs. Our destination is McCauley Warm Springs, a popular spot for a warm dip on a chilly day. This is an all day hike and given the time of the year, it is essential to bring rain gear, as well as water, lunch, and sunscreen. Generally biting insects are not a problem.

We will meet in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and leave in a caravan by 8:30 AM. SFBG will not be organizing carpooling due to liability, but you are welcome to do so on your own. Trekking poles and sturdy foot ware are strongly recommended.

About your Guide: Ken Collins is a long-time member of the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and until recently was on the Board of Directors. He knows many of the trails in the Santa Fe and the Northern New Mexico area very well.
