Learn how to create a landscape that uses less water, flourishes as the climate changes, and meets the needs of all who use it--a Landscape for Life!

In this 5-part program, developed by the U.S. Botanical Garden and the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, you will deepen your understanding of how to get the most out of water in your garden, how to build healthy soils with minimal outside inputs, how to use native and other plants adapted to our environment, and how to find the most environmentally friendly landscape materials. For gardeners who want to learn how to create a truly sustainable garden, no matter where you live--in a condominium, on a city lot, or on a two-acre farm. Students will analyze their own home landscape focusing on soils, water, plants and use of materials. The fee covers a student handbook and most materials needed for the class.
