Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS) Chapter of Santa Fe invites you to a special presentation on rock and crevice gardens by Mike Bone, Curator of Steppe collections for the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Mike is the Curator of Steppe collections for the Denver Botanic Gardens. For the majority of his tenure he was the propagator and greenhouse manager before moving into this new role. Currently Mike oversees all of the gardens wild collected propagation, Plant Select research, and breeding programs. Mike has worked with multiple agencies to develop practical germination protocols for rare, threatened, and endangered species. Mike is also one of the authors of Steppes The plants and ecology of the world’s semi-arid regions of the world. Mike is also part of a team that is photographing and writing a wildflower field guide for the Rocky Mountains. He is also a past director and longtime member of the Western Region of the International Plant Propagators Society a professional organization that exists for the purpose of seeking and sharing propagation knowledge on a global scale.
