Native Grasses of Santa Fe

Location-We will meet in the parking lot of the Pueblos Del Sol playground and trail (corner of Governor Miles and West Nizohni Loop)

Cost: $ 5 members, $ 10 non-members

Explore the beauty of our area’s native grasses with emphasis on grass identification. The class will meet in one of Santa Fe’s parklands for an hour and a half easy walk while identifying our native grasses and discussing their use and importance to our ecosystem.

We will walk rain or shine so bring appropriate gear, as well as water and sunscreen. We will meet in the parking lot for the Pueblos Del Sol playground and trail (corner of Governor Miles and West Nizohni Loop) and start the walk at 10:00 AM. Sturdy foot ware is always appropriate.

About your Guide: Terence is an avid hiker in the Santa Fe area with a background in the local geology. He has lived over 30 years in New Mexico and has explored all four corners of the state. He is a docent at the SFBG and serves the city of Santa Fe on the Santa Fe Parks and Recreation Commission.
