Come to this fun, interactive, hands-on workshop to learn about New Mexico’s 500+ native bee species as well as honey bees. Participants will learn about the life of bees and their important role in the environment. This one-day workshop will fill you in on all things bees from pollination to honey production. Participants will explore the gardens and identify bees in a certified wildlife habitat. A bee-inspired gourmet lunch will be provided, along with honey tasting that will complement your meal and educational experience. Each participant will leave with your own handmade set of rolled and dipped beeswax candles and a native bee house for your own garden. A layout of your day with us is below.

You have multiple instructors for this class including: Bob Zimmerman who is a retired biology instructor, amateur beekeeper and accomplished gardener, Christine Hauber who is a professional chef, photographer and artist, and Ellen Premack who is a retired museum director, creative programmer and gardener. Together they each bring their knowledgable skills to present this stimulating day of learning in a fabulous Santa Fe foothills home.
