In this Wetland Ecology Course, you will attend six classes that cover general ecology, wetland ecology and restoration ecology.  This is a great course for anyone who is interested in furthering their knowledge, and possibly career, in the areas of Fish and Wildlife, The Bureau of Land Management, Forestry, Botany, and Horticulture. Take advantage of the exceptional resources that Northern New Mexico has to offer in terms of knowledge, instructors and professional connections, through attending this course. You will receive interactive lectures from local experts, and will be guided and taught by a main instructor; Jeff DePew. Jeff DePew is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist and holds a certification in Restoration Ecology. He is a Professor Emeritus in Biological and Ecological Studies from Webster University. These six classes will give the participant, through hands on experience, an in depth appreciation and thorough understanding of the ecological aspects of New Mexico’s unique wetlands.

All classes will take place at the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve. Class times and locations are subject to change.
