Wetland Ecology Course

In this Wetland Ecology Course, you will attend nine classes that cover general ecology, wetland ecology and restoration ecology. This is a great course for anyone who is interested in furthering their knowledge or possibly pursuing a career in the areas of Fish and Wildlife, The Bureau of Land Management, Forestry, Botany, and Horticulture. Take advantage of the exceptional resources that Northern New Mexico has to offer in terms of knowledge, instructors, dynamic environment, and professional connections, through this course. You will receive interactive lectures from guest experts as well as your primary instructor, Jeff DePew. Through hands on experience, these nine classes will give each participant an in-depth appreciation and understanding of the ecological aspects of New Mexico’s unique wetlands.

May 14th- 5:30- 8:30

June 11th- 5:30-8:30

July 9th- 5:30-8:30

August 13th- 5:30-8:30

September 10th- 5:30-8:30

October 15th- 5:30-8:30

November 12th - 5:30 - 8:30

All classes will take place at the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve. Class times and locations are subject to change. Your payment covers the entire course, and goes towards course materials and payment for instructors. 

Biography: Jeff DePew is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist and holds a certification in Restoration Ecology. He is a Professor Emeritus in Biological and Ecological Studies from Webster University.
